The neighbourhoods South of the Lakeshore are accessible throughout the parade. Access to residences on 1st to 13th Streets via 1st (along Morrison St). To access 23rd Street and West of it, use Lakeshore via 36th Street (along Lake Promenade). You can also ask any of our marshals or on-duty police for your best route.
There is no parking whatsoever on Lakeshore Blvd West, or Birmingham Street. But all other streets are open and residential, so parking is free (but not managed) and on a first-come basis.
We are an open, public, outdoor event; all family members - including pups - welcome. As always they need to be on a leash, and you should know the bands and other music sources scare some furry friends... so keep them close!
We are the second longest parade route in the GTA, at nearly 4km. There are no barricades (although you must stick to the sidewalks) and plenty of room for everyone. Come a little early if you have a certain spot in mind - and note that near the end of the route is busiest - but you'll have no trouble no matter where you choose to watch.
On the day, volunteers can marshal, carry banners, wear the costumes, or help out in the staging area at the start of the parade. Groups can march, businesses can sponsor floats or bands, and anyone can submit and pay to include their own vehicle/float here. The Skate With Santa also offers a lot of opportunity whether it's entertainment, sponsorship, your own display or sales in a tent etc.
There are several price points based on your group or business, and what you're hoping to do. You can start by checking out our entry form or contacting lakeshoresanta@gmail.com for corporate participation.
